This publication present the objectives of the Task Force on Tourism and Protected Areas, of the WCPA, are to:

a) Provide guidance to the WCPA, and others, on the relationships  between tourism and protected areas. b) Identify the size and characteristics of protected area tourism. c)Develop case studies to investigate best practice models for tourism management.d) Develop guidelines for the management of tourism in protected areas. e)  Communicate tourism management theory and practice to planners, managers and others. f) Provide opportunities for parks and tourism people to work together on shared issues within protected area tourism.
