CARING FOR THE PLANET EARTH: Environmental Tips for farmers in the region of Serra da Canastra
The book, sponsored by the State Forest Institute and by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is a product of the Pato Aqui, Água Acolá Program. It contains current, useful and interesting information related to environmental conservation and development activities on a farm. It provides tips on the handling and caring of the soil, how to prepare compost, information on ethical consumption, environmental conservation, how to control mastitis, among others. Pato Aqui, Água Acolá: Environmental Education for Teachers
Publication resulting from the environmental education component of the Pato Aqui, Água Acolá Program, developed in the surroundings of the Serra da Canastra National Park. This book was designed to be a source of knowledge and activities to be developed with students, in addition to encouraging its use for environmental education. The book seeks to create opportunities to contextualize and reframe context and curricula, clearing up interfaces between the content covered and the traditional curriculum in the theoretical texts and in the proposed student activities. Signaling Manual of the Serra da Canastra National Park
By means of a harmonious design, made from the colors and shapes found in the Serra da Canastra National Park this signaling manual was created for the Park, which unifies all the sign posts in this area for its current and future implementation. This book illustrates all the types of sign posts to be used in various signaling situations, and each type of sign shows the architectural, engineering and graphic design, highlighting the color table and its applications. The methodology used for the design elements in this new signaling integrates with the regional culture, which is displayed in various ways within the Park and the cities surrounding the area.
Action Plan for the Conservation of the Brazilian Merganser
This publication is the third issue of the Threatened Species Series, which consists of action plans for the protection and conservation of the threatened Brazilian fauna, published by IBAMA, with the support of Terra Brasilis and other institutions. The Plan provides information on the biology of the Merganser, identifies the main threatening factors and proposes a series of measures to implement different topics, identifying potential stakeholders and following a range of timelines and priorities, in order to save the species in the long term.
